The India U23 team is leaving no stone unturned to boost their Olympic campaign. The team which is set to play Qatar in their away match of Olympic qualifying round is presently sweating it out at the Bharati Vidyapeeth ground in Dhankavdi, Pune.

Though the duration of the camp is short, Coach Desmond Buplin feels his boys need to make the most of it. “We need to make the most of the camp and practice hard,” he said.

Buplin feels it’s an advantage to play an away-match first. “We will try our best and aim for a draw. In that case, we can go all out in our home-match,” he added.

Buplin’s boys will take on Qatar at the Al Sadd Stadium in Doha on June 19, while the return-leg match will be held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune on June 23.

In their first round of the qualifier, India got the better of Myanmar 2-1. While India won the home-match in Pune 2-1, they were held to a 1-1 draw in the away-match.
