Manchester Utd is the most valuable football brand

Manchester United is leading the ranking of the world’s most valuable football brands according to the latest assessment released by London based company BRAND FINANCE. The English Premier League side has a brand value of $853 million ($661 million in 2011).

UEFA Champions League finalists FC Bayern Munich have climbed to the 2nd spot in the list with a brand value of $786 million. The German giants were ranked 4th in last year’s assessment with a brand value of $493 million.

Star-studded La Liga side Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona are ranked 3rd and 4th in the latest brand value assessment. Real Madrid are worth $600 million, while Barcelona are rated with a brand value of $580 million.

UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea FC remain 5th with a value of $398 million.

Brazil’s SC Corinthians Paulista is the best non-European club in the rating list ranked 24th with a brand value of $77 million. Guangzhou Evergrande FC of China is the best Asian football brand ranked 35th with a value of $65 million.
