India drops a spot in FIFA World Rankings

The Indian national team has dropped a spot in the latest FIFA World Ranking despite winning the 2012 Nehru Cup.

Wim Koevermans’ team is now ranked 169th in the world and 32nd in Asia.

Nehru Cup participants Maldives have climbed two spots to be ranked 159th in the world, while Nepal (166th) and Syria (148th) lost also a few spots.

Nehru Cup finalists Cameroon have also lost to spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking. The African giants are now ranked 61st in the world.

Meanwhile, World and European Champions Spain remain at the top of the FIFA World Ranking, while Germany (2nd) and England (3rd) complete the “Top 3”.

Austria has collected the most points last month (81 points), while Bermuda recorded the biggest move by ranks (+18 to be ranked 102nd)
