The Competitions Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided to award the hosting rights for the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup to the Maldives.
The Committee has also decided to exclude DPR Korea (North Korea) from future AFC Challenge Cups.
The AFC Challenge Cup will be hosted by the Maldives for the very first time.
