Syed Rahim Nabi out for six weeks with a cheekbone fracture

Kolkata Derby – East Bengal v Mohun Bagan – Syed Rahim Nabi injury

Mohun Bagan AC allrounder Syed Rahim Nabi has been ruled out for at least six weeks as a result to the turmoil at the abandoned Kolkata Derby on Sunday.

The Indian national team star was hit by a stone thrown by the own supporters and he was rushed to the hospital with a heavy bleeding wound on his head [+ watch the video].

Nabi suffered a cheekbone fracture and he was successfully operated at a Kolkata hospital on Monday. He will be discharged in five days according to statements from the hospital and he will be out of action for at least six weeks.
