FC Bayern Munich have confirmed their first signing for the new season. The German giants have secured the services of talented German U-21 international Jan Kirchhoff.
Kirchhoff will join the Bavarians on a free transfer from league rivals 1. FSV Mainz 05 and he will be awarded a contract until 2016.
The talented youngster can be fielded as a centre back and/or defensive midfielder. He has played 51 Bundesliga matches so far and he has earned 17 caps for the German U-21 national team.
