The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) wil be organising the CII Corporate Soccer Festival 2013 in Delhi and Mumbai.

The tournament aims to create awareness about football in the country with a larger aim of increasing corporate participation in sports.

The CII Corporate Soccer Festival will be played at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on February 23 & 24, while the action will move to Mumbai in March 2013.

A total of 32 teams will compete in each city and a lot interesting encounters are expected in the 6-a-side tournament. The teams will play a minimum of three group matches, while the spectators will be able to enjoy additional activities around the tournament.

Corporate teams interested to take part would have to pay Rs 25,000 as participation fee. All participating teams will be provided kits and refreshments at the venues.

The CII aims to donate the surplus amount collected over and above the expenses of the event to organizations working for the promotion of football amongst the underprivileged.
