Football clubs in Europe are looking for new marketing ideas to promote the game and to get the maximum revenue out of their home games. The renowned Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zürich in cooperation with their sponsor Duravit had a new idea: A jacuzzi as a VIP Box at the touchline!

The new idea was implemented during Grasshopper’s 3-1 win in a Swiss Super League game against FC St. Gallen at the Letzigrund Stadium on March 9. Two fans had the honour to be the first ones to get a taste of the new VIP package offered by the club.

The Grasshopper fans enjoyed the game in a 36°C warm jacuzzi at the touchline with free drinks during the game, while they even had the chance to celebrate with the players during the game when the home side scored a goal.

The club is yet to decide, if they would like to offer this special VIP package on a regular basis or if it will be just a one-off marketing concept.
