UEFA Champions League winners FC Bayern Munich have overtaken EPL giants Manchester United as the most valuable football brand in the world.

The German champions top the list after a nine per cent rise in value from 2012 according to the latest valuation made by the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance.

Bayern Munich have a brand value of $860m, while Manchester United have been valued at $837m. Manchester United were on the top of the list for many years.

Spanish side Real Madrid complete the “Top 3” with a brand value of $621m. English club dominate the list as five teams made it to the “Top 10”.
