German giants FC Bayern Munich have clinched a historic treble consisting of the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) title.

Bayern are the first German team to achive this goal and they are just the seventh club in Europe to clinch the treble.

The team will be be welcomed in Munich today by thousands fans and the reception will have its climax when the team arrives at the famous Marienplatz to celebrate with the fans from the balcony of the city hall.

The team will arrive in Munich on a special Lufthansa flight from Berlin at about 13.20 CET (16.50 IST / 12.20 GMT). Jupp Heynckes and his boys will have a champions parade from the Munich Airport to the Marienplatz.
