The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has organised two friendlies as part of an Exposure Trip for the Indian U-16 national team who will be playing the UAE U-16 national team and Sharjah Sports Club ahead of their AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers in Kuwait later this month.

The U-16 boys, who have won the SAFF U-16 Championship recently, will be playing Sharjah Sports Club on September 13 and UAE U-16 national team on September 17.

The boys, who are represented by the AIFF Regional Academy U-15 boys, will be training at the grounds of the renowned UAE club Al Wasl FC. They will also be using Al Wasl’s facilities.

Head coach Goutam Ghosh lavished praise on AIFF for arranging the matches ahead of the AFC Qualifiers.

“I would like to take this opportunity and thank the AIFF wholeheartedly for providing us this international exposure against competitive teams before AFC Qualifiers. Both teams are very good, and we are lucky to get such preparation.”

“We will benefit from practicing at Al Wasl’s grounds. They are a top club and it will be a learning experience for the Boys,” he added.

The India U-16 team will be leaving for Dubai on Wednesday.
