The promising youngster, who has emerged through the ranks of Brazil Football Academy, has previously played for Sesa Football Academy in the Airtel Goa Professional League this season.

Dempo coach Arthur Papas was highly impressed with Sahil during his exploits in the Goa Professional League where he scored on two occasions while completing five assists. He will now move to the club on a three year deal which includes a transfer fee to his former club.

Speaking at the club house he said: “It’s like a dream come true, I always wanted to play for Dempo as it is my childhood club. I cannot describe how excited I am about this.” He will also be a part of the Dempo squad for upcoming I-League away matches at Pune and Shillong.

Sahil, who plays as an attacking central midfielder gives credit to his parents and brother who have supported his dream. “They have always supported me in becoming a good player, I even changed my school for better football training. I would always be thankful to my parents and my coaches.”

“Playing in the I-League is my objective and I know it is going to take a lot more hard work and commitment to get there, but it feels good to be another step closer,” said Sahil.
