Soccerex and Lockton agree on extended Global Partnership

Soccerex, the global leader for the business of football, is proud to announce that Lockton, the world’s largest privately owned, independent insurance brokerage firm, has renewed as global partner until 2018.

The partnership is the extension of a relationship which began in 2009 and will see the multi-national risk management and insurance expert working with Soccerex across its global portfolio of football business events.

Since launching in 1996, Soccerex has been the leading event provider for the global football industry, renowned for delivering unique networking platforms around the world. Having staged 33 events across 5 continents, Soccerex’s vast international reach matches Lockton’s global presence, a key factor in renewing the partnership.

Speaking on (the continuation of) the partnership, which was signed at Langan’s Brasserie alongside footballing legend George Graham, Tony Hardy, Partner at Lockton Companies LLP said:
“Football is big business and thanks largely to our partnership with Soccerex; it has proven an important market for Lockton. Over the last 4 years, through their events in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa, Soccerex has put us at the forefront of the football industry around the world and allowed us to network with the key players. Soccerex’s global appeal matches our global focus and we are delighted to be partners of Soccerex and the next chapter of the Global Convention in Manchester.”

Duncan Revie, CEO, Soccerex commented:
“I am absolutely delighted to be extending our partnership with Lockton for another 5 years. Like Soccerex, they are the leaders in their field and with offices around the world they are the perfect fit for our global footprint of events and the international client base which attend. On behalf of Manchester, Durban and our other host partners, I would like to welcome Lockton back into the fold and I look forward to having them as part of the family for the next five years.”
