Pune FC will face Madhya Pradesh District Football Association in their Manchester United Premier Cup (MUPC) opener to be held at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune on Sunday.

Placed in Group A, and playing in their first tournament of the season, the 16-man Pune FC U-15 squad will face PIFA Colaba (Mumbai) and Ernakulam District Football Association Academy (Kerala) in their other group games.

With a total of twelve teams participating from the South-West Zone, three groups of four teams have been formed. The winner of each group along with the best second-placed team will qualify for the semifinals.

The winner of the South-West Zone will face the winner of the North-East zone (currently being held in Delhi) for the MUPC India Finals on January 24 at the Balewadi Stadium.

The winners of the India finals will earn the chance to represent the country in the regional finals in Thailand this June.
