All corners of the football world will be covered at the Soccerex Asian Forum, 13-14 May, with the announcement that the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (La Liga), the latest league to confirm, will be playing a significant role at the leading Asian football business event.

The Forum, held in partnership with the Asian Football Development Project founded by HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, will see La Liga President, Javier Tebas, speaking on the league development panel alongside already confirmed panelists Sunil Gulati, President of the Unites States Soccer Federation and Jeff Slack Senior Vice President of Global Football Development, IMG. The exhibition will also feature a special La Liga Pavilion, a 36m2 stand which will be used to highlight future and current plans for the league.

Home to some of the best players in the world, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale, La Liga has recognised the importance of the Asian and Middle Eastern market by opening a Dubai office, their first regional base outside of Spain, headed up by former Real Madrid player Fernando Sanz.

Commenting on the announcement, Soccerex Chairman Tony Martin said: “Having La Liga confirm their attendance highlights the extensive reach the Asian Forum will have. We are delighted to have Javier Tebas on board; his expertise on league development will be a huge asset to the already outstanding conference agenda.”

The event will take place at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre, situated on the banks of The Dead Sea, Jordan, and will bring together the leading figures from the world of Asian football as well as other international football experts to discuss the development of the game across Asia.
