German national team to play World Cup all in white

German national team coach Joachim Löw has announced a 30-man provisional squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup today.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund players will be the backbone of the German team for the finals in Brazil, while Fiorentina will be the most prominent absentee in the squad.

Erik Durm (Borussia Dortmund), Kevin Volland (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Leon Goretzka and Maximilian Meyer (both FC Schalke 04) have earned their first call-up to the senior national team.

Löw will cut down the squad to the final 23-member squad after a training camp in South Tyrol.
