The Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced the Fan XI for the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star game against German giants FC Bayern Munich in Portland on August 6.

The eleven players have been voted to the MLS All-Star squad by the fans from a pool of 152 players nominated by media members. The final 20-man squad will also feature two players selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber and seven players that received at least two votes from their fellow MLS players, all based on player availability and tactical considerations by coach Caleb Porter.

Eight player from the Fan XI were part of the US national team at 2014 FIFA World Cup, while US icon Landon Donovan, Nigerian international Obafemi Martins and 1998 FIFA World Cup winner Thierry Henry complete the line-up.

The full squad to face Bayern Munich will be announced on Saturday (July 19) during half-time of the ESPN2 broadcast of the Sporting Kansas City v LA Galaxy game.

The MLS All-Star team will take on Bayern Munich, who will be touring the USA as part of their pre-season preparations. The German champions will play a match against Deportivo Guadalajara at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey on July 31, before they continue their journey to Portland.
