Dream turned into reality for young Shiv Pratap Singh Ranawat, who hails from the Desert State of Rajasthan, as he played his first two matches last weekend for the Fundación Marcet U-19 Team in the European Youth Football League (EYFL) in Barcelona.

There were three matches last weekend and all were won by the Fundación Marcet U-19 team. Fundación Marcet played their first match against Team Finland which they won 2-0, while the second one was played against Team Scotland (2-0). The last game was against an African Team which they also won 2-0.

Robin Xavier, Director & CEO, Jaipur Football Club, also travelled to Barcelona to see Shiv playing the matches live in action. As per him he has started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and soon the local Indian players will make their way into the European League.

He also said that a long term plan is what is required to change the way we think and plan. Shiv will be training with Fundación Marcet till June 2015 under the guidance of head coach Carlos who was earlier with Atlético de Madrid.
