India squad announced for SAFF Women's Championship

A final list of 20 players for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship has been announced by Head Coach Tarun Roy, and the contingent is slated to leave for Isalamabad, Pakistan on Tuesday (November 11, 2014).

The team will be travelling to Islamabad via Dubai and are expected to reach their destination by November 12. India play their first match on Nov 13.

Eight countries namely India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka will be taking part in the tournament inhabited by SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) members only.

India are the reigning champions of the tournament having won the coveted crown twice in 2010 and 2012. This is the third edition of the SAFF Championship.
