Mohammedan Sporting Club played out a thrilling 1-1 draw against United SC in a Zonal Round fixture of the U-19 I-League at the Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Sonarpur on Thursday afternoon.

After a barren first-half where both teams played some meaningless football, United SC went ahead in the 72nd minute when Babun Das scored from the spot. But Sujay Mondal restored parity for the Black Cubs just seconds before the final whistle to earn them the first points in the competion.

MLA Sonarpur North Firdousi Begam, MLA Sonarpur South Jibon Mukherjee, I.C. Sonarpur Anil Kumar Roy, Mohammedan Sporting Club General Secratary Moinuddin Bin Moksud along with other dignitaries were present at the venue.

Mohammedan Sporting Club will host Mohun Bagan AC on Wednesday (December 24) at the same venue in their next U-19 I-League match.
