Sporting Clube de Goa will lock horns with Royal Wahingdoh FC in a Hero I-League Round 6 match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong on Sunday. The kick-off time is 16.30 IST.

Sporting Goa have not had the best of starts to the league having collected just two points from four matches, after two draws and two losses. In their last match where defenders Sandesh Jhingan and Miguel Garcia made their debuts, they drew 0-0 with Mumbai FC and are hoping to go one better against Wahingdoh.

New comers, Wahingdoh on the other hand have had a spectacular start to the season and are currently second in the league with ten points from five matches, after winning their opening three games. In their last match they drew 1-1 with Dempo SC and will now be looking to get back to winning ways. Seityasen Singh who has netted two goals in four games is the danger man.

When the two clubs met in the Federation Cup in January, it was Sporting Goa who came back to win 2-1, after goals from Anthony Wolfe and Biswajeet Saha cancelled out Jackichand Singh’s earlier effort for Wahingdoh.
