Soccerex announces Ooredoo as Telecom Partner for Global Convention

Soccerex have announced that Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications company, will be the official telecom partner for its Global Convention 2015, taking place in Manchester on 7-9 September.

The partnership was signed at a ceremony held today in Doha, at Ooredoo’s Headquarters, by Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ooredoo Qatar, and Duncan Revie, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Soccerex. Ooredoo, who will work alongside the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, will showcase Qatar’s on-going support for football and its readiness to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Ooredoo will also use the Soccerex Global Convention to promote Qatar to the world.

Waleed Al Sayed, COO, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo fully supports the vision of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in ‘Delivering Amazing’ for the people of Qatar and for the global community of soccer fans. We will use our presence at Soccerex to demonstrate that Qatar is becoming the ideal venue for major sporting events, with a nationwide network of ‘smart stadia’ being developed.”
