U Sports have announced the names of 15 boys from across India who have been chosen for the U Dream Football programme to train in Germany for six years at the German Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

The U Dream Football programme is an initiative by Ronnie Screwvala’s U Sports. The programme was launched last year in partnership with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to scout and train talented Indian talents.

A national scouting programme across 1,000 schools in over 45 cities was conducted as part of the U Dream Football programme to spot 15 talented youngsters in the U-14 category.

The scouting programme has finally identified 15 youngsters who will join the German club at its homebase in Zuzenhausen, Germany for a period of six years. The boys will be accompanied by U Dream coaches, former Indian international Mahesh Gawli and John Raj besides three teachers who will take care of the schooling for all the boys.

The boys will depart for Germany on August 19.
