FC Goa’s pre-season started off with a 2-2 draw against Al Khaleej FC at the Spanish Schools Soccer Grounds in Dubai Sports City, UAE. The match saw FC Goa play their opening game against a spirited Al Khaleej team. All FC Goa’s new signings as well as the latest editions to the club were given a run out.

The fans were given a taste of what is to come in the second edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) as FC Goa scored two brilliant goals. On the score sheet were Joffre and Reinaldo as the teams were held to a draw.

Zico, Head Coach, FC Goa, said, “I’m happy with the way the team played. After a week of training it was nice to see the boys play at a high level and no injuries from our first game. We now look forward to our next game.”

The squad will train in Dubai until September 20, post which the Zico managed team will be back in Goa for the final phase of training at the Tilak Maidan Ground in Vasco before the season starts next month.

FC Goa are scheduled to play their other friendlies against AL Shabab, Ajmal, Al JAzeera and AL Hatta at the respective clubs on 15th, 16th, 19th and 20th September. All games will kick off at 19.00 local time.

FC Goa will take on Delhi Dynamos FC in their first ISL game of the season at home on October 4, 2015 at Fatorda Stadium in Margao.
