The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has decided that the FAO 1st Division League 2016 will kick-off on July 20, 2016.

The 26 participating teams have been drawn into six groups, while defending champions Sunrise Club would face Independent Club, Morning Club and Y.V.C.G. in Group B.

The FAO announced that all the FAO 1st Division League will be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

Meanwhile, the FAO has also conducted a draw for the FAO 2nd Division League 2016, whereby seven teams have been drawn into two groups.
