The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) yesterday, July 23 launched their eighth Grassroots Centre in Subdega Block of Sundargarh District, which will see 30 boys being trained there regularly with Hemanta Das being the coach of this latest Grassroots Centre.

The new training centre was inaugurated at the New Odisha High School on the Gaibira Play ground in Subdega Block of Sundargarh District.

Anil Behera (Chairman – Talasara water project), was present as the Chief Guest in the inauguration ceremony while Remish Tete (Head Mistress Gaibira High School) and Fabiaola Baru (Head Master Gaibira U.P. School) were present as the Guests of Honour.

Other dignitaries who were present were Pardeep Naik (Treasurer – DAA Sundargarh), Nitya Kumar Bala (Football Secretary – DAA Sundargarh) and Durga Prasad Swain (Development Officer – FA Odisha) besides grassroot coaches Seema Tirkey and Sanjukta Tirkey.

Durga Madhab Naik (Honorary Secretary – DAA Sundargarh) presided over the inaugural ceremony.
