Haitian international Kervens Belfort heads to Kerala Blasters

Haitian international Kervens Fils Belfort is the latest global face to head to Kerala Blasters. Leading the line in the Haitian national team as a striker has played in some of Haiti’s biggest games, with thirty appearances since his international debut in 2010.

Beginning in 2007, Belfort has played in Haiti, France, Switzerland, Cyprus and Turkey for Tempête FC, FC Le Mans B, FC Le Mans, FC Sion, Grenoble Foot 38 and Fréjus Saint Raphaël FC, Ethnikos Achnas and 1461 Trabzon. He has been a consistent presence internationally having appeared six times at FIFA tournaments and scoring four goals. In the 2014 Caribbean Cup, Kevin Belforts was awarded the Golden Boot as well as the Best Forward in the Best XI.

Commenting on his move to the Kerala Blasters, Kernes Belfort said, “I hope to put my international experience good use playing with the Kerala Blasters. It’s my first time in India and I look forward to contributing to the Blasters game in this season of the ISL.”

Steve Coppell said, “Kernes Belfort comes with good playing experience, both domestic club and international. As a striker, he will be part of the team’s attack strategy.”
