World Street 3s, the first international World Street Soccer Championship, will take place at the Soccerex Football Festival on Sunday 25 September in Manchester, England.

World Street 3s break the usual disciplines of soccer. With no goal-keeper, only three players on each team and a focus on the flair and performance during the game, World Street 3s is about showmanship and showcasing the players’ talent.

Taking place in a purpose built arena at the Manchester Central Convention Complex , World Street 3s will see eight teams from England, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, USA, Balkans and Denmark be pitted against each other to be crowned World Street 3s Champion.

Spectators will be treated to remarkable displays of athleticism and ability from the world’s best street soccer players, including Issy ‘The Hitman’ Hamdoui, Edward van Gils and Orry Stok (Netherlands), Sean Garnier (France) and SoufianeBencok and Leammsi (Belgium).

Daniel Wood, Event Manager, World Street 3s, said: “This is the first event of its kind, where the greatest and most popular street soccer players worldwide will come together and compete. It is a very exciting stage and the audience are in for a real treat.”

David Wright, Marketing Director, Soccerex commented: “Soccerex has always supported freestyle and street football and we see the hosting of the inaugural World Street 3s as a natural extension of this relationship. The boom in the popularity of street soccer and its players has come as no surprise and it is very exciting to welcome the worlds very best to Manchester for the first world championship in this sport.”

World Street 3s will take place from 10:00hrs – 17:00hrs at Manchester Central, Manchester as part of a programme of football activities at the Soccerex Football Festival. The Soccerex Football Festival is free to attend; however, organisers have advised fans to arrive early to guarantee entry.
