Mohammedan Sporting Club will face debutants Southern Samity in a second round Kolkata Zonal Round away fixture of the 2016/17 U-18 I-League on Wednesday.

Having lost 0-1 to United SC in the opener last week, Mohammedan SC will be eager to get their campaign back on track. Though Mohammedan Sporting looked good against United SC but they failed to capitalize, however coach Susanta Guha stays confident in his team’s ability to fight back.

“I think we played well in the last game. We tried our best, we fought, but we couldn’t achieve the desired result. But one must understand that a majority of the players are new and it’s not easy to build a team overnight. We need to play a few more games and the team will improve,” said the Mohammedan Sporting Club U-18 coach.

Southern Samity, on the other hand, made their U-18 I-League debut against Mohun Bagan AC in a 0-3 losing cause thus they areexpected  to go out on all cylinders for the win.

The match at Howrah Stadium kicks off at 14.00 IST on Wednesday.
