The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has advertised for a new Head Coach for the India U-17 National Team which is to take part in the forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 in October.

Reflecting on AIFF’s future course of action, Kushal Das, General Secretary, AIFF, said, “A committee will be formed to shortlist the candidates and conduct the interviews. Based on the advertisement, the applications received would be considered by the Committee.”

“The boys are presently training in Goa and we want to expedite the process to enable the coach to take charge at the earliest,” Das added.

ADVERTISEMENT

The All India Football Federation is the governing body of football in India and is responsible for organizing the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 which is to be held in the country. The AIFF is looking for a highly qualified and experienced football coach to train and prepare the Indian U17 National Team towards achieving a competitive performance in the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017, which will take place in India during 6th – 28th October 2017.

Reporting To

  • General Secretary, AIFF

Qualifications

  • AFC/UEFA Pro License or equivalent
  • Should be English-speaking and have good working knowledge of English

Experience

  • Should have trained junior National teams or youth teams of top clubs for atleast 3-5 years
  • Candidates with international experience especially in Asia/Africa will be preferred

Age

  • Preferably below 65 years of age.

Salary and Benefits

  • Negotiable

Tenure

  • The Coach would be engaged for a period of 08 months until the end of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017, i.e. from 1st March 2017 to 31st October 2017, subject to performance review or as per requirement.

Accountability

  • The Coach would be responsible to prepare a competitive Indian team for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017.
  • The Coach would be required to provide his services at any place in India or abroad as required by AIFF and shall perform his duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned to him by AIFF to the satisfaction and in accordance with the directions of AIFF.
  • The Coach would submit monthly reportsof the team detailing their performance in each training camp and competition to AIFF.
  • The Coach may be required by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) to submit reports periodically on the development and progress of the team.

  • Ability to plan and arrange international exposure trips/tournaments in conjunction with and approval of AIFF appointed staff.
