LaLiga has refused to accept a €222 million payment from Paris Saint-Germain to trigger Neymar’s buyout clause.
“We can confirm that the lawyers of the player (Neymar) have come to LaLiga to deposit the clause and that it has been rejected. It is all the information we will give so far,” the Spanish league confirmed to the BBC.
A decision on the expected world record transfer is on hold at the moment and things could get pretty awful for all involved parties.
