Newly promoted I-League side NEROCA FC have announced the signing of former India international Gouramangi Moirangthem Singh for the 2017/18 season.

“Former India international Gouramangi Singh signs with us for season 2017-18,” NEROCA FC announced on their official Facebook page. “We would like to welcome him to the orange brigade!”

The 31 year old Manipuri star defender expressed his happiness on Instagram: “Happy to be back home at Manipur’s first ever club in the I-League NEROCA FC. Come on guys let’s do this together!”

“Thank you Naoba, Director, NEROCA FC for making the deal happen and giving me the opportunity to come back home. It would be an honour to represent the first ever I-League club from the state.”

The AIFF Player of the Year 2010 started his career at the Tata Football Academy before he went on to play professional football for several top sides in the country such as Dempo SC, Mahindra United, Chennaiyin FC, FC Pune City and DSK Shivajians.
