Guirim Youth CSC edge past PVC Parra Association 2-1

Guirim Youth CSC edged past PVC Parra Association 2-1 in the GFA Third Division League (Bardez Zone) played at Nerul ground, on Monday.

Preet Parwar scored early in the game to give Guirim side a 1-0 lead in the first half. Crossing over, Olvino Pinto doubled the lead before Savio Vaz pulled one back for PVC Parra.

Guirim’s Krishna Bogde and Axel Cuasto were booked for rash play.

At Chapora ground, Chapora Yuvak Sangh and Sai Avtaar SC were held in an eight-goal thriller.

Raj opened the scoring for Chapora in the fifth minute before Richard Fernandes doubled the lead in just five minutes.

After much probing Sai Avtaar pulled a goal back at the half-hour mark through Alrich D’Souza.

However, Raj scored his brace to score the team’s third. Chapora led 3-1 at the break.

Changing ends, Dhiraj scored for Sai Avtaar to make it 2-3. Just when it seemed Sai Avtaar could level terms, Soham Gaunkar scored the team’s fourth to give his side a two-goal cushion.

Sai Avtaar pressed hard untill the final mintues and Kalpesh Gadekar scored two-quick goals within a span of three minutes in the 85th and 88th minutes to level terms.

At Nachinola ground, Friends XI beat Augustias SC 2-1.
