India move up two spots in latest FIFA World Ranking

India has moved up two spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking which has been released by the governing body of football earlier today.

The Indian national team is now ranked 105th in the world (14th in Asia) just behind Zimbabwe and ahead of Niger.

Germany stay top of the FIFA World Ranking as there were changes in the Top 5. Brazil (2nd), Portugal (3rd), Argentina (4th) and Belgium (5th) complete the Top 5.

Meanwhile, Spain moved back to the Top 10, while Peru have climbed into the Top 10 for the first time.

As a result of the latest ranking, Pot 1 for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 draw on December 1, 2017 has been decided. Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France make up the top seeded teams.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on November 23, 2017.
