A 25-member Indian Arrows team coached by Luís Norton de Matos are gearing up to kick-start their Hero I-League 2017-18 campaign against Chennai City FC at the GMC Bambolim Stadium today.

The team, who competed in the AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers recently, are currently training under the Portuguese coach Luís Norton de Matos, who coached the India U-17 national team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017.

Matos felt that this experience would be “immensely beneficial for the boys in future”.

“These players are going to get more match experience. This is a starting point. The difficulty we see in the I-League will be similar to what we saw in the World Cup,” Matos said.
