Chennaiyin FC’s U-15 team ran home 4-0 winners against Chennai City FC in an U-15 Youth League fixture played at the Gateway International School ground today. The result saw them complete the double over their opponents, having beaten them by the same scoreline in the corresponding fixture in November.

The boys in the all-white away jersey picked up from where they left off, having thumped Mahogany FC 7-0 in their last outing one week back. An early goal from Harsha Vardhan was later followed by a successful penalty kick by CFC captain Sai Krishnan, with the spot-kick arising as a result of a handball by the opposition left-back. Chennaiyin thus finished the first-half strongly, two goals to the good.

Ajayrajan then continued CFC’s habit of scoring early in the half, netting his side’s third goal. Rishab Menon then added the fourth in the closing stages to make it 4-0 to Chennaiyin FC.

The Chennaiyin FC U-15 boys have now won all their five league fixtures, having also completed the double over Mahogany FC and beaten Football Plus 1-0 in their opening game.

The challenge of RV Soccer School awaits the CFC U-15s in their next U-15 Youth League fixture, to be played on December 21 at the Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) ground, scheduled for 15.30 IST.
