Sujay Buduk scored in either side of the pitch as Mohammedan Sporting Club ease past Mohun Bagan 2-0 to make it ten wins from ten in Kolkata Zonal Round at the ongoing U-13 Youth League 2017/18.

After ten rounds, Mohammedan SC took their tally to 30 points finishing 14 points clear of second placed ATK, who will play their last match against HDSA tomorrow.

The Young Panthers began the game in attacking mode and pushed ahead from either flank. With Mohun Bagan defending deep, Mohammedan SC had to work hard around the rival box to find that decisive opening.

Having missed a host of chances, Mohammedan SC finally broke the deadlock when Sujay and Anisur Rahaman combined well for the opener in the 27th minute.

Mohammedan SC could have doubled their lead at the stroke of half-time, but Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Avi Halder dove well to his right to deny Mohammed Zeedan from close range.

The Young Panthers’ attack came fully to life, and they were rampant after the break but had to wait till the 65th minute to score their second.

Aftab Ali held off a defender on the left flank and floated in a cross to the far post finding Sunjay who converted with a footed volley to make it 2-0.

Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan, on a few occasions, created anxious moments for the Mohammedan SC defense, but they lacked the cutting edge to stage a comeback.
