Kozhikode to witness India legends in Indian Masters Football Festival

Former India internationals like Bruno Coutinho, I.M. Vijayan and other Indian legends of the past would be seen in action in the Indian Masters Football Festival beginning on April 28 in Kozhikode.

Announcing the event, Reception Committee Chairman M.P. Hidrose and vice-chairman and team coordinator N.K. Anwar said of the others confirmed players in the two-day event are C.V. Pappachhan, Raman Vijayan and K.V. Dhanesh.

A total of 12 teams from different states would play for honours in the tournament to be played at the E.M.S. Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode.

The participating teams are Goa Masters, Chennai Veterans, Dubai, Bengluru Masters, Thiruvanthapuram, Thrissur, Falcun F C Vallikkunnu, Kerala Masters, Black and White Muscut, S D T Masters, Malappuram Veterans and Lakshadweep Masters.

The motive behind organizing the event was to bring together veteran players from across the country, they added.
