In the U-13 Boys category GFDC Cuncolim were the winners emerging on top of the table, with Boca Juniors Bangalore eventual runners-up. In the U-11 Boys category, Boca Juniors Bangalore were the winners and GFDC Ambelim were the runners-up.

The Assistant Technical Director Boca Juniors Football School – India, Marko Derkovic congratulated all the teams that participated in the league. He also enlightened the budding players that they should play to win but at the same time learn to accept defeat as they cannot be a game without an opponent.

The Chairman of GFDC, Dr. Rufino Monteiro, explained the importance of competitions in the development of football talent and praised the players for their performance throughout the league. “This is a grassroots training undertaken for improving skills and identifying the drawback of players. It is not about who has won or lost but it about the experience. We are happy to have teams from Boca Juniors Bangalore and Mumbai for the last three years. Let us continue to have this healthy exchange and at the end football should be the winner,” he said.
