The Jamshedpur Sporting Association (JSA) Super Division, second tier league of the district, was launched amidst great fanfare. Representatives of clubs from all over the district were present along side Jamshedpur FC officials.

In the event leading up to the first match of the JSA season, Jamshedpur FC officials offered 88 NIVIA balls to 44 JSA clubs (2 each) for training and another 25 balls to the association for conduct of the league.

Jamshedpur FC also handed 200 replica t-shirts to JSA to be presented to winners of various fan activities at the venues during the league.

During the launch, Jamshedpur FC CEO and JSA Vice-President Mukul Choudhari said, “We have got tremendous support from JSA to organize ISL home matches in Jamshedpur. We will continue our support towards JSA and wish the league success.”

The top tier – JSA Premier Division – will be kicked off today at the JRD Tata Sports Complex at 3.30pm. The event will be marked by the presence of a new Jamshedpur FC signing as a special guest of honour.
