Borussia Dortmund will take on Austria Vienna in their first pre-season friendly tonight. The away game in Vienna will be the first match under the watchful eyes of BVB’s new head coach Lucien Favre and the first of seven pre-season friendly matches.

The Bundesliga giants kicked-off their pre-season training on Monday and tonight’s match will be an important test for them as Favre look forward to prepare his side for an action-packed season in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal (German Cup) and UEFA Champions League.

2018 FIFA World Cup participants Marco Reus, Roman Bürki, Thomas Delaney, Raphaël Guerreiro, Manuel Akanji, Shinji Kagawa and Łukasz Piszczek are still on holidays and won’t be part of the squad tonight. Julian Weigl will also miss the action due to an injury.
