Ten-woman Indian Women’s National Team lost 0-5 to Levante UD in the COTIF Tournament in Valencia, Spain on August 3, 2018, after goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan was shown the red card in the second half.

Kamala Devi’s shot as early as the 5th minute gave the opponents a scare when it went inches past the goal, but Levante regrouped, thwarted the Indian Women and scored two back-to-back goals in the 25th and the 26th minute to go into the half-time leading 2-0.

Levante added another to their goal scoring tally in the 37th minute to make the scoreline read 3-0 and in the 50th minute, more plight was added to the Indian Women when goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan was sent off for a foul inside the box, reducing the number on the field for the Women. Levante scored from the resulting penalty in the 51st minute to make the scoreline read 4-0.

The rout was completed in the 58th minute when the Spanish club found the Indian net once again to make the scoreline read 5-0.

The Indian Women next face Morocco National Team on August 5, 2018 in the COTIF Tournament.
