Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC are set to hold their pre-season ahead of ISL – Season 5 in Thailand with the club planning a total of four friendly matches in Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

At a press conference earlier today, Mumbai City FC introduced their new head coach, 46 year old Jorge Costa from Portugal.

Costa told the media, “I am not here to make any promise but I can promise good football.”

But also added, “Then I started watching games. In Portugal we don’t watch too much of Indian League in my country.”

“My philosophy is winning three points — I will respect my players and my philosophy will depend on the players,” the coach added.

Mumbai City FC finished a lowly seventh in last seasons ISL and they open their ISL-5 campaign against Jamshedpur FC at home on October 2 at the Mumbai Football Arena.
