The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Mizoram Football Association (MFA) collaborated on a Baby League Seminar at Aizawl on Friday, September 21. 16 youth football enthusiasts from several districts participated in the programme.

AIFF Baby League manager Srinivasan Saimani gave an in-depth lecture on the new structure of youth football for ages between 4-13 at the MFA Office in AR Lammual, Aizawl. He stated the need to provide a competitive environment for football beyond coaching.

MFA Development Officer Samson Ramengmawia spoke of the blueprint currently being designed by the MFA for Baby Leagues in the state. MFA Joint Secretary C. Vanlalmawia inaugurated the seminar.

The AIFF has selected Mizoram as the starting point for its new Baby League programme in the country. It is currently in the process of implementing this new youth football system across the country.
