Asiffullah Khan promoted from the Reserves to the Jamshedpur FC first-team

Jamshedpur FC has announced that Asiffullah Khan, a 24-year-old midfielder who was part of their reserve team before has been promoted to the first-team squad. Having played for Maharashtra’s Santosh Trophy Team and Mumbai FC’s Under-18 side, Asiff has impressed one and all with his composure and is touted to play for the club in the near future.

His stint in the Bodousa Cup 2018, which was conducted in Assam, he played a pivotal role and helped the Jamshedpur FC Reserves team finish second, featuring prominently in all the matches.

Asiffullah Khan hails from the state of Maharashtra and has been involved in the game of football since his early childhood. The 24-year-old will wear jersey no.18 for Jamshedpur FC and is set to challenge for a starting berth in the upcoming Indian Super League matches.

It was revealed by the club that Jamshedpur FC’s head coach Cesar Ferrando has been mightily impressed by Asiffullah Khan and has plans to integrate the youngster in the first team squad.
