Former India superstar IM Vijayan has returned to the football grounds for his former club Kerala Police.

The “Black Pearl” of Indian football made his comeback at the age of 43 two weeks ago as reported earlier [+ read more].

Vijayan’s comeback has created a new hype in his native state Kerala and the legendary forward has delighted football fans with his still existing skills on the pitch.

Kerala Police faced Mohun Bagan Academy in the 9th SBT GV Raja All-India Football Tournament 2012 at the University Stadium, Trivandrum on Friday. Vijayan played 30 minutes in the 5-1 win against the Mohun Bagan youngsters and he even made an assist with a spectacular overhead volley to set-up the fourth goal for his team by Firoz.
