Óscar Bruzón named new Sporting coach

Sporting Clube de Goa have named Spaniard Óscar Bruzón Barreras as the new head coach after the club’s performances below expectations in the I-League under Ekendra Singh.

Bruzón has been the Head of Football Fevelopment at Bangalore-based SPT Sports Management and he has been in India for a while.

The 35 year old coach has played professional football in the Spanish 2nd Division (Segunda División) and he has also coached various youth teams in his native country.

Bruzón will be assisted by Alex Alvares while Ekendra Singh is supposed to be in charge of the goalkeepers.

The new head coach is expected to begin is coaching assignment tomorrow.
