Odafe Onyeka Okolie’s suspension extended

The Disciplinary Committee of the All India Football Federation has extended Mohun Bagan striker Odafe Onyeka Okolie’s suspension after reviewing all documents and video footage of the I-League match between East Bengal Club and Mohun Bagan AC on January 21.

The Disciplinary Committee comprising of N.A. Khan (Chairman), Rakesh Bakshi, Uma Prasad Mukherjee, Premashis Chowdhury and D.S. Sivaswamy decided to impose an additional one-match ban and a fine of Rs. 1,50,000 after taking into consideration an unconditional apology from Odafe.

The Nigerian striker will miss three matches in total and the committee has directed that he be allowed to play only after paying the necessary fine.
