Indian national team coach Wim Koevermans paid a visit to Kerala a few days ago to inspect the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and training facilities in Kochi ahead of India’s international friendly match against Palestine on February 6.

The Dutchman expressed his satisfaction after visiting the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. “I’m happy with the ground conditions. It is a good ground and I’m satisfied with the facilities,” Koevermans told Malayalam media representative at the sidelines of the inspection.

“The stadium looks very nice. The ground work should be finished in time,” the India coach added.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium hosted the second Cricket One-Day International (ODI) between India and England on January 15 and the local authorities are diligent to get things ready for the India v Palestine match.
