Churchill Brothers SC sign Odafe Onyeka Okolie again

Churchill Brothers SC has announced the signing of Nigerian striker Odafe Onyeka Okolie on a three year deal.

Club owner Churchill Alemao welcomed back the goal machine after he ended his three year stint with Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC.

Odafe Onyeka Okolie had previously joined the Red Machines in the 2005-06 season and scored over 100 goals for the club before departing for Mohun Bagan at the end of the 2010-11 season.

Odafe captained Churchill Brothers to their first I-League triumph in the 2008-09 season while also winning the Durand Cup twice during his previous stint at the Goan club.

On an individual level, Odafe, fondly known has the ‘Goal Machine’ by his fans, has  been the I-League’s top scorer on three consecutive occasions (2007-08, 2008-09 and 2010-11 season).

Churchill Alemao was pleased to welcome back the Nigerian, “Odafe is a wonderful player who has brought tremendous joy to this club with his goals.”

“I am very happy to welcome him back to the Churchill Brothers family.”

Odafe Onyeka Okolie said, “Churchill Brothers is like an extended family to me. I am really glad to return home. I will give my best and hope to win many trophies here again.”

Valanka Alemao, CEO, Churchill Brothers SC, also welcomed the signing and said, “It’s great to have him back. I am sure Odafe will work hard and help the team achieve its goals for the 2014-15 season.”
